I went from 1200 calories or less per day up to roughly 1500 in hopes to kick start my metabolism but I’ve actually gained two pounds. Do I keep it up or should I cut back. I’ve been following the plan but only have one working knee so I can’t do much in the way of excercise. What do you think?

Give it at least two weeks before you cut back! Just a few days doesn’t tell us much. Stick with it for a while longer!

I have been doing the shakes for 2 weeks along with exercise 3-5 days a week at the gym. I don’t follow the plan but I drink two shakes a day along with a sensible meal and healthy snacks. I finally have energy, lost 11 pounds and 9 inches all over! I even had a planned cheat meal, sushi my favorite! 🙂

day 15, I lost 6 lbs and have maintained, but was disappointed that I hadn’t lost more, until I watched this check in video! I and others have noticed visible weight loss and I feel more energetic and strong! I completed 13.1 half marathon and biggest challenge has been trying to eat 5 times a day, since I am used to not eating enough! Signed up for 5 mile March of Dimes and 5k black light run both on 4-16

I have lost 10 pounds since I started two weeks ago! I try to follow the plan closely, most days doing two shakes, two snacks, 1 meal. I am recovering from a knee injury, but should be returning to the gym soon! I now have 5 tubs of shakes, 8 boxes of bars, and plenty of boost to last me!

As of now I’ve only lost about 3 pounds, but I have noticed I lost inches. Jeans that I couldn’t fit over my hips before finally buttoned again! And we were on vacation for a few of these days so I didn’t drink my shakes. Working out 6 days a week with a shake with almond milk and a couple services of PB2 in each mix for added fiber and protein to make it a decent lunch.

I am only on day 7 , doing 2 shakes a day. Following the plan. Down 2.5 pounds. I really like the plan. Easy to follow. Shakes are great. Takes a day or two to get use to the flavor, then you crave them. Already ordered more on the get 1 free special. Already had lost 30 pounds 2 years ago doing low carb. Kept it off then gained 5 pounds back so this is my plan to take off the next 10 pounds and get to my goal. So I am off to a great start. Soon the weather will be better to get outside and exercise.

I have been sticking with the plan and working out everyday…. Tons of cardio and I’ve actually gained a couple pound but my clothes are getting loose so I’m assuming I’ve lost inches, so I’m ok with that…. It will be nice to see the scale go down soon tho.

Hi Audrey! Have you taken your measurements? It sounds like you might be losing inches! Sometimes when you are working out, you might not see the scale change but see a difference in your body because you are gaining muscle. Do you weigh yourself at the same time of day? Try weighing in the morning before you eat. 🙂

I have been following the plan for two weeks, only down 1 pound. A little disappointed because I’ve been doing so well. Stayed under my calories, 2 shakes a day, getting my water in, and going to the gym at least 4 days a week. Any advice on what I could do better. Really want to get this weight off. Love the shakes, the taste and the ease, but need results. I know its going to be a little slow, but was hoping for at least one pound per week.

Don’t concentrate so much on what the scale says. If you are working out, muscle weighs more than fat. So pay attention to how your clothes fit on you and how you feel. I am sure you have burned some fat but gained muscle. Hang in there you are doing great! I haventhink added exercise yet but I average about 3lbs loss each week. I “graze” all day on fruits, especially watermelon, replace 2 meals a day with shakes and eat whatever I want for supper. Of course I don’eat a lot at supper because I mostly eat it because I need to. I no longer have much of an appetite. Give it more time you will notice a difference in your body.

I started the program but haven’t followed it to a tee. I am down 6.2# since my start but I’m having problems with too many carbs and not enough protein. I know I can do this! I don’t want to lose too fast! Been there did that too many times! The weight roller coaster has been my life for 30+ years. I want to make sustainable changes in my lifestyle and eating habits that I won’t revert from when I get bored or feel deprived.

I’m doing the two shakes and the ideal boost and the probiotics and drinking a gallon of water a day. I have not seen any results not understanding I have seen so many comments of people losing weight.

I eat the same thing every day for breakfast, lunch and snacks. it’s just easier for me to do it like that. i have not yet stared an exercise program. i’m having knee surgery next week so hopefully after physical therapy, I will get going on exercising. This Plan is awesome. Wish I would’ve found it years ago. Thanks for being here.

The hardest part of my day is after dinner. I get such cravings for sweets, cookies, cake, candy, anything. The ideal trim has helped with those cravings. I only just started walking due to medical restrictions on my activity. I can’t wait to get back to the gym. Can’t wait to see what the coming weeks bring!

You’re right nutrition makes up a huge portion of your results but exercise is still really important to help you build lean muscle, increase your metabolism, and improve your overall physical health. So even though exercise is only considered 20% of weight the weight loss equation, that’s still a big piece of the equation.

I’ve been doing 2 shakes plus 2 or 3 small meals during the day and I’m down 7 lbs. The weekend is really challenging to keep healthy options, when we are so busy with children’s activities and often end up stopping somewhere to grab a bite to eat!

I try to remember to have a shake when I leave the gym, but it’s not always possible. I’ve lost about 4 inches total and around 3 lbs. Ive also increased the amount I can lift in the gym by nearly 30 lbs in some areas!!!

I’m still learning the portions and servings but I’ve decided to make index cards for the snacks and meals to help remind me what to eat and when. I bought the Idealshape protein in chocolate and vanilla. They both have a great taste and I find them to be satisfying.

I started the shakes on I Think March 22nd. I have lost 12 lbs. I am so excited. I am listening to the Visualize your Ideal Shape religiously. I swear it is working. I knew it was working one day when I wanted to go off my diet run to the grocery store and get a foot long sandwich and eat the whole thing. I stopped. Drank a shake and then went to the grocery store and I did drink 1 soda for a treat, but other than that I stayed on the diet. That is so not me. Anyway I have never lost more than 20 lbs on any diet over the years. Even diets being monitored supposedly by specialist. So I am think if I can make it over that marker, the rest will be attainable. Course I know with any dieter you wish it was quicker, but I am learning to focus on the fact I am changing and that is what counts.

Yay! I am down 8 lbs and my clothes are fitting better. I tend to not eat enough food, and I have a wicked sweet tooth. So instead I am doing one shake a day in the morning. Which is an improvement for me since I get up at 3:30 AM and normally don’t eat. I am having a really light lunch usually steamed vegetables and a protein, Something, that really mimics the plan. Then a really healthy dinner that mimics the plan normally lots of vegetables and baked fish or baked chicken. I also started walking one and a half to 3 miles every other day.

Today is W3W6, I love the workouts, shakes and meal plans. You and your team are so motivational and encouraging. Thank you so much.

I lost 4 lbs the end of week 2, but this week I gained 2 lbs. I followed the meal plans and challenge the first 2 weeks but caught a cold and didn’t stick with the supper meal, ate late and just felt rotten. I did do the workouts though and I really like the way I feel as far as keeping up with workouts and upping my walk to 2 walks a day with my dog. My clothes fit better even if I have gained back 2 lbs.

I am feeling better now and can only see things getting better. Thank you again for the help to get moving and living life more fully! We can do this girls!!!! 🙂

I am off to a slow start with only a three-pound loss, but considering I had a birthday and a family funeral during that time, I am not discouraged. Family gatherings tend to involve eating. The easy preparation of a shake every morning made it possible to avoid skipping breakfast some days and going overboard on other days.

Well Lindsey, it’s like this, I haven’t lost any weight. I’m still at 225. It’s my fault because I’m an emotional eater. I don’t have your meal plan but I believe I have a pretty decent meal plan. I can’t seem to stay on track. I will be doing great and then I get upset about something and habitually will eat the first bad thing I see. This wouldn’t be bad except for the fact that I have 2 young adults in the house who tend to bring in junk food. No excuse, I know. My willpower is shot. But I will never give up. I’m still fighting the good fight. I’m still exercising also. I try to do them at least 3 times a week. I do have a knee replacement so I’m being very careful not to injure myself. My husband is continually asking me for cream cheese-filled banana bread, so I make it and I indulge. It’s very hard but I’m still trying. Well that about raps it up. I didn’t take pics of myself except from the neck up. I will try to get them done. Nor have I measured myself. These are things I will have to do. By the way, I am doing the meal replacement shakes, but no weight loss yet.

It doesn’t work any better than drinking a lot of water. Maybe a little more than that. It only lasts about an hour or two. I make the smoothies with everything in it. But it just doesn’t last.

I try to stay at about 1200 calories a day and drink Idealshape shakes for breakfast and lunch. So far I’ve lost almost 3 lbs. I bought a Ninja blender and add a cup of ice to the cup of water to make a great smoothie. On days when I go to the pool for water aerobics I get a bit more hungry at lunch so add 1/2 a frozen banana and 1/2 cup of frozen berries to make a bit heartier smoothie.

I have been following have 2 meal shake and eating healthy snacks and sensible meal. My biggest hurdle has been drinking water. At work I used to drink diet soda most of the day. That has been a big change for me. Scale is not moving but everything takes time and commitment I have been tracking with my fit bit and using losing it app. I went out and bought a ball and I have weights and I do Zumba once a week If I can. I will just keep plugging along.

I’m on my 7th day of sticking to the ideal plan for the 140-190 lbs. category. I started at 187.4 lbs. and weighed in 2 days ago at 180.4 lbs. I weighed myself again today and I’m still at the same weight. Maybe I’ve hit a plateau? I have not incorporated exercise yet but plan to. I’m happy with the results so far and hope that it continues.

I’m not as tired though the day and I am sleeping better at night. The best part is I have not been hungry! The first thee day were a little difficult but having the Idealbars really helped me though.

What is your opinion on either a cheat day or cheat meal? I walk everyday as well but I like to give myself one day a week to enjoy something–whether it’s a meal or dessert.

I don’t know what day I am on lol.
I was not tracking anything-just going through the motions of starting a new behavior pattern. I forgot some ingredients at home here and there, so didn’t follow to a “t”, but I am happy that the shakes allow me to focus on what I WAS doing which in turn helps me break some behavior patterns. I’ve lost maybe 3 pounds. I joined a gym and start w/ personal trainer January 4th. Kind of a slow start but I am being practical. I think this plan is great and shakes are tasty too.
It’s kind of like training wheels for beginning a new healthy lifestyle- gives me confidence and I am assured if I teeter, I have support to not fall.

I also got my hair done, bought some nice moisterizer and two pairs of jeans – just helps focus a bit on myself – remind myself that I like feeling and looking good, and that my needs are just as portent as everyone else in my family.
I’m feeling good about my choices. I’m so glad I found you.

I forgot to add that the shakes / snack plans enforce WILLPOWER BIG TIME!

Actually started working on losing weight Oct. 4, 2015. Started with an Atkins program based plan because it worked previously but I didn’t view it as a lifestyle change and regained my weight. Then I was introduced to protein shakes but didn’t like the taste from the GNC shakes. Was introduced to Isagenix and while their shakes were ok, you need to be “in” their program to get good pricing and I did not want to get involved with all that. Been on the Idealshape shakes now for the last few weeks because they taste good and are reasonably priced and available to purchase. Total weight lost overall since Oct. is 19 lbs. drinking 2 shakes a day and then eating a low carb meal with low carb snacks when needed.

If you like peanut butter try adding two tablespoons of PB2 regular or chocolate flavor to your shake. It mixes well with ice and water does not require blender. PB2 can be found in your local grocery peanut butter isle. I’ve added it to the Chocolate and Pumpkin Spice Idealshakes.

Theresa, there is 5g of fiber per serving in the shakes and that could be a change for your body. I would recommend trying to push through the first couple weeks, it will take a little time for your system to adjust to the diet change! Make sure to drink at least 8oz of water after each shake! Water throughout the day is also extremely important! Keep going strong!

I immediately started the 12 week challenge again and I bought ideal shake, ideal boost and ideal bars 2 weeks ago and with them and the exercise I’m already down another 2 1/2 pounds. So excited to be down 5 pounds and can’t wait to see what I’ll be come the end of this 12 week challenge. I love the quick but some times painful exercises and I can tell I’m so much stronger than when I started 19 weeks ago. What should I do until the shipment arrive ?
The second week I have lost 3 pounds,
The problem I have is dinner time, it’s just me and my husband, I usually have 3-4 oz meat either chicken or ground beef
with a side dish and vegs,
I go to the gym 3 -4 days weeks, cardio one day and weights the next day.

I apologize for the delay. I hope you have received your shipment by now! If not, I know it will be there soon! Stick with eating every few hours and try to use myfitnesspal to help you track your the food you are eating in place of the shake. If you use the smoothie recipes and just eat a lean meat for a protein source, you will be pretty close in macros while you wait! Keep going strong and CRUSH your goals! Can’t wait to hear more 🙂

I don’t have the mindset of all or nothing. I do what I can. Certain foods I know I gain, even though I do not eat a lot of it. The shakes bars and supplements help. I do not think I could do it without them. I have lost 20 lbs. and very pleased. I know that if I do not do good one day the next can be better and I have little goals I try to reach.

I lost four pounds. I love the workouts. My biggest hurdle is my lack of flexibility (which is why I love the workouts). The shakes are great because they are so satisfying that I haven’t craved sweets.

I do have a question about adding greens to them. Can you use a good liquid greens product instead of the real greens? Would this count for the carb? Do you need to reduce the almond milk ?

      November 23, 2015 at 11:17 am

That is awesome to hear! As you continue to workout your flexibility should increase!

As for adding greens to the shakes, as long as the liquid greens are purely the greens and don’t have added ingredients then yes that would be fine! And no need to reduce the almond milk if the liquid greens you are using don’t have additional carbs.

The first 14 days were not successful. Actually the first week I did two shakes and messed up for dinner (sometimes not having dinner at all). Week two I went off the plan completely. Had a shake in the am and that was it. I don’t know why getting this plan right is such a struggle for me.

Admittedly, after many frustrating months/years of trying various options, I recently discovered Idealshape. It’s been about 2 weeks, I thoroughly enjoy the shakes and bars, and program overall. The biggest decision I made, however, is too NOT get on a scale before, during or after. The scale messes with my psyche and I truly want to put less emphasis on ‘losing weight’ (in numbers) and just live my life and one day soon, hopefully, realize my clothes fit better and I like more what I see in the mirror. Idealshape fits into that plan, and I am optimistic that it will be a win!

The first two weeks went well. I haven’t followed the plan exactly but have tried to adopt its philosophy of smaller, more frequent meals and emphasis on nutrition in what I do eat. Most days I have one shake, usually at lunch time (breakfast is usually eggs, or Greek yogurt with fruit). I often have a bar or some other light snack in the afternoon and then a moderate dinner. Have exercised about 5 times a week. I’ve overeaten at a couple of meals since I started, but each time was able to get back on track. Recording my eating and exercise has helped a lot with that. I’m down 5-6 lbs and feel a difference in clothes. Big challenge ahead: about a week packed with different family visits and lots of temptations!

After just 14 day i have lost 2.4lbs. Exciting yes, but even more exciting is the fact that I can stick to this plan easily. I love the shakes and the bars, in addition i was able to make some really good decissions last week. my daughter and I went out to eat twice with the grand babies. The first place was Mcdonalds. Instead of the big mac meal I choose the grilled chicken salad. Then she stopped at Starbucks ( my favorite place ) and I skipped it. The 2nd time we went to Pizza Hut. I passed on the pizza and bread sticks and had the salad bar but did not have any of the pasta. Then another trip to Starbucks – did not partake again. If you knew me you would know what a huge and difficult accomplishment this all was. I am feeling very positive that I have found my plan to stick with for life Thank You

    Hi Lindsey,

Lost 5lbs the first week, but none the 2nd week. I guess that’s ok, since I didn’t gain anything back. The shakes are great. My favorite is mixing some fresh strawberries in the vanilla with an egg yolk and some ice. They have made my life so much easier. Now I know what I am going to eat for breakfast and lunch everyday and don’t eat junk. I’m snacking as recommended too and the combination keeps me full enough that at dinner I eat a smaller portion. Some challenges are getting enough exercise. I work in a call center, so getting up and moving around during the day are limited, but I try to walk at night and have joined a gym. Other challenges are the weekends because my husband and I love to go out and eat. It’s difficult sometimes to choose that salad over comfort food, but I’ll keep trying.

I drink a shake every morning but it never seems to keep me full for long. It’s hard to stick to the diet because i feel like i’m always hungry and it dosen’t curb my cravings at all. On the plus side though, the shakes taste amazing. I usually add milk or some pb2 and maybe a banana. I Just wish they were more filling.

Stay strong through the cravings! Be sure to drink a full 8 ounces of water after each meal replacement shake you drink! That will activate the slendesta to help keep you full 🙂 I’m so glad you enjoy them!! Keep consistent with the program, I know you will be successful!!

2 pounds is progress!! That’s awesome 🙂 Be sure to be drinking at least 8 ounces of water after each shake and 16 ounces after each bar you have! That will help suppress your appetite for the 3 hours! Water, water, water… that will help your body filter itself!! Consistency is key. Stay strong through this time, it will pass!

7 lbs. I gained 2 lbs day before Thanksgiving and was scared to weigh myself after Thanksgiving. I didn’t endulge but I sampled everything but mashed potatoes. I have been walking and biking and chasing my 2.5 Year old grandson. I was extremely happy to take a deep breathe hop on scale. I thought I was seeing wrong lol.

I started in August with the 12 week challenge and was doing very well. The beginning of September we experienced major fires in our town and needless to say I was majorly derailed on the challenge. I picked up the 15 day challenge in October and just now completing my second 15 day challenge. So far I have lost 15.5 lbs and feeling so much better. I really like the program. I have lost 2 pounds. My only problem is that the shakes give me terrible gas. My question is, does the body ever get used to it so that I don’t have gas? If so, how long does that take? I want to push through this if the gas problem will correct itself. Other than that, I think it is a great program and I hope to be able to continue it because your program is very motivational. I also really like the CD that helps me fall asleep.

Lost 7 lbs and 5.5 inches. Hardest thing for me is water. But also on Thanksgiving weekend was following 5 meals. I did not over eat but just did not follow plan with food and water. I did go to gym on Black Friday and did double class. Exercise is tough area. I keep repeating the first 3 days in between my scheduled gym classes. Being of larger statue I was wondering if you vet thought of putting together exercise videos with alternate ways to do. I always feel I can’t keep up or do them like you ladies. But over all I did week for first 14 days and I am continuing. The next 14 will be little tougher due to holiday parties.

I just started it Monday. I had been doing the Beachbody 21 day fix prior which really didn’t do much to help me loose weight. I think it was too many calories. I am diabetic so weight loss is harder for me. I started the shakes, changed my diet considerably and started my daily workouts again on Monday and have lost 4 pounds in 4 days. I have to finish reading about your diet. I have been drinking the shakes for lunch. I have a full breakfast and dinner with my snacks in between. I am noticing definition starting finally as well. I am really over weight and looking to loose 60 pounds.

Since 11/23, I am down 2 pounds but have lost inches. I am doing the shakes and ideal bars and your recipes. We did have Thanksgiving in the middle and we actually took most of the day off (I could really tell). I am getting about 1500-1600 calories per day and wonder if I should lower that at all. I do the exercises but not every day due to my schedule. I also try to ride my bike 3-4 times a week for 9-11 miles (usually 40-50 minutes).

Following the diet plan for this program was a big struggle/change for me because I had to seriously INCREASE my calories and protein. I stuck with it as best I could. Some days, I just didn’t have enough time for all that eating. Also, I have a huge fear of carbs and fat, so, to be totally truthful, I usually cut those ingredients out of the meal plans. Nonetheless, I felt like my metabolism and body were changing on the program, and I enjoyed the workouts. However, I only lost one pound :(. One is better than none, but I was hoping for something big. So I have decided to sign up for a second round and really commit to the exact diet plan and see what goes down

I started the Monday before Thanksgiving, probably not the best idea. Got off track for the Thanksgiving holiday and weekend then back at it on Monday, 11/30. This week I’ve stuck to the plan. I’m down 3 pounds, which I’m excited about. I already feel like I have more energy and overall have a better feeling about myself. The biggest hurdle for me has been overcoming my sugar/carb addiction. I purchased some of the Ideal bars to help curb the sugar and carb cravings that come in the afternoon. Another hurdle is not eating after supper. I’m usually a snack-until-bed person. I count my biggest success as seeing results already. I CAN and WILL lose weight and feel better!

I only lost 1 pound. However, I can not blame the program for that at all. All I have done is replaced breakfast with a shake. I did start up exercising again but only got one day in the first week and 3 days in the second week. I haven’t followed the rest of the plan. But I have made that commitment and started following it more diligently today. My goal is to get back to consistently exercising 4 days a week.

I started my journey last week. I ended up getting hurt on Wednesday and didn’t follow the plan the rest of the week. I started again this week and have only cheated once. I’m struggling with feeling hungry all the time but I know I’ll adjust. I have been working on the road this week too so my options have been limited. Today I was home and it has went much better. I am still trying different things to help myself. Like spreading my breakfast out. I found that I got super full eating it all at once so I spread it out. I drink a shake plain right away when I get up and then a couple hours later have the other items. Seems to work better for me to spread things out a bit more. I haven’t really noticed weight loss yet but like I said I haven’t stuck to it totally yet either. I have lost 9 pounds since November 8th though with this and a spinning class I took last month. I am anxious to get back into that class in January. I don’t have a ton of weight to lose but I’m determined to hit it hard after the holidays for sure. Still doing it now as well but I know I’m not going to be perfect. Regardless I know in the end no matter how long it takes I will teach my goal. I also want to mention how helpful and nice everyone is with this company! I reach out all the time through chat and everyone has been super helpful. The shakes also I must say are amazing. I have tried several in the past and couldn’t stand them. These are yummy!!!

Congratulations on your weight loss thus far! At least one shake per day is great! If you are to bump it up to 2 shakes a day, your weight loss will be greater! Maybe switch things up a bit and try 2 shakes a day for 2 weeks and see how things go! 😉

I actually just finished week 5. I have lost 5 lbs. since I began which doesn’t seem like much but I can definitely feel the difference in my clothes. I have lost a couple of inches. It is very difficult for me to eat meals at certain times through the day. I am a dispatcher for the Sheriff’s Office and we work with only one dispatcher on duty at a time so when it is busy you don’t have time to eat. So trying to get the five eating times in throughout the day has been a challenge for me.

I didn’t join to lose weight because I’m already kind of low, even though I do want to lose a few pounds. I know muscle weighs more than fat ugh!! But I want to tone my legs and I’ve done the meal plan to a t and done all the exercises and then some!! I haven’t noticed much change in the shape of my legs. Definitely a change in the feel. Not sure what I need to do to visibly tone them.

Unfortunately we can’t spot reduce fat. This means we can’t say we want to lose fat in our love handles, for example, and work on THAT fat in particular. All we can control is that we DO lose fat by controlling our nutrition and workouts. WHERE you lose it first is genetic. Some people will lose off their hips and legs first, others from their tummies first. But you can lose it off your trouble spots as long as you keep going. You will lose that fat if you just keep on getting leaner. 🙂 Congrats on the progress you’ve seen thus far!! Now just keep on going! 🙂

The fiber in the shake can sometimes cause temporary bloating that may make you feel like your stomach is a little bit bigger. Since you are losing weight, you’re on the right track though! So just keep going and your body should get used to it!

I really have only been following the plan a week and things seem to be going ok. No real results yet, but I am not really expecting much since I have had such difficulty with other plans and have health issues that contribute. I have noticed the hunger is better with the shakes. I am really struggling with the snacks for convenience and timing as well as finding easy alternatives to the grains in the plan (Doctor’s order to be grain free by the end of January).

It has been 1 week since I started. I am down 7.8 pounds. The biggest hurdle has been Sunday at my hubby’s birthday. Everyone had pizza and cake and I had my almonds and cheese for a snack, had a shake for breakfast. I then had a bar and nursed a boost the rest of the time I was there. When I got home I was very down thinking about what I couldn’t have at the party and had a little pity party and a cry for myself and then had a salad with chicken for dinner. Hopefully my efforts will pay off on the scale tomorrow. 🙂

IdealShape is working for me, although at a measured pace. Being over 65, it seemed impossible I could ever drop pounds again, even while doing Jazzercise 4-5 times per week, but finally, I have dropped a few!! I’m sure the exercise is very important… it really does take following the plan AND exercise (for me)! Since I started 3 weeks ago, I’ve lost 6 pounds. Just plan on ‘keep on keeping on’ and hopefully the 2 pounds per week will become a norm until I reach my goal of losing 25 pounds.

I *will* say, If you think that you can just use the product, and not do any work, you’re not going to see results. No product is going to do that for you. I realize that now. But with the shakes, bars, idealplan, and the support structure… Making good choices is the easiest its ever been for me. I’m not even worried about Christmas dinner at the moment. Because I don’t want to eat junk. Not when nourishing my body with good food has made me feel so wonderful, and feel leaner. And it’s NEVER been easier.

I struggle with eating all the food on the plan. I am finding that I don’t get hungry while drinking the shakes. The other struggle that I am having is social eating. I am feeling social pressures to eat that way I always have. Maybe after the holiday season that will get easier (due to all of the party expectations). My greatest success has been I have seen results even with the challenges.

So a typical day for you should be breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, and dinner 🙂 It may sound like a lot, but the snacks don’t have to be anything crazy. You will want to be eating about every 3-4 hours.

On my W2D6 weigh in I am down 8.5 lbs. I really enjoy and program, because it actually makes sense to me unlike many other programs out there.

My biggest hurdle is actually making sure I am eating all of the meals! I am trying but I feel like I am forcing myself to eat….how ironic since I’m pretty sure I use to only eat because I was board!

Definitely making sure to eat all of the meals, is crucial! It’s funny how that works, we don’t realize how much we actually need in order to reach our goals! It’s the complete opposite of the stereotype! YAY!!!! You go girl!

My biggest success is that I am continuing to follow the plan and eat healthy. It has been easier that my fiancé is eating healthy too. My biggest hurdle is not eating too much at dinner. I am so busy during the day I sometimes forget to eat my breakfast or eat one of my snacks so I am trying to make sure I don’t skip meals.

I missed all of week two due to traveling. Was driving 500-600 miles a day. I have arrived at my destination now, ready to get back to the program. I’ve gained almost 3 pounds, but its the lack of exercise and road trip meals that are to blame. Do I go back to W1D1 since I had a whole week gone, or start with W2D1 or what? I’m of the mindset that maybe today needs to be day one all over.

I have the workouts down pat. Not a problem to wake up and work out. It’s the eating part that I struggle with. I binge eat when I feel anxious and overwhelmed. It used to happen only once or twice a month now it’s been a consistent 3 to 4 times a week. I am using the shakes and I love them I am using the boost and I love those too. The products work the workouts are great it’s my own battle with bingeing that I’m fighting. I need to change my mindset once again. It’s only the 2 no week in January and I refuse to give up. My goal is to lose 20 pounds before the Chicago Marathon in October that I intend to run. By July I intend to have the best body I’ve ever had!!!! 20 pounds isn’t a lot…. I weigh 142… the next time we check in I intend to be down. Good thoughts to everyone!!! Our goals are not out of reach!

I’ve lost 6.5 lbs. I’m happy with that – considering that I haven’t started exercising yet. I really enjoy the shakes. I add a tbsp of peanut butter to the chocolate mix or add fruit to the vanilla mix and put everything in the blender with ice. Both flavors tastes like a treat! The bars are great for when you’re on the go and don’t have access to a blender. I have found that if I have a shake for breakfast and lunch, the Idealburn supplement makes me feel “weird”. Cannot explain this feeling – very lethargic. So! I just have a small salad with some protein for lunch and this helps avoid this side effect. I find that I’m not really hungry at dinner time – so having the shake for dinner suits me just fine. It took 3-4 days to not be starving all the time, but my body has adjusted to the reduced caloric intake and the pounds are coming off! Hubby was away this week, so a shake for dinner was easy but now that he’s home, I need to make sure I keep our dinners light and healthy.

My initial weigh-in was 1/5/16. On 1/11/16 my weigh-in showed a 20.1 pound loss!! I am pumped. My next weigh-in is on the 18th and I don’t weigh myself in between (a psych thing I am doing with myself). I take IdealBlock first thing in the morning, followed by a shake. Mid-morning I eat a banana or other fruit or nuts. At lunchtime, I take a second dose of IdealBlock and another shake. Mid afternoon I again will have a fruit or nuts. At dinnertime I take IdealTrim followed by a choice of frozen entre’s from Lean Cuisine, Healthy Choice or Stouffer Fit Kitchen. I usually eat two of the entre’s (one is usually 250-400 calories so 2 gives me roughly 1400 cals for the day including the shakes and fruits/nuts). I drink lots of water. The weight loss has lowered my A1C by 1.2 points. I need to lower it another 1.4 by 2/26/16 so that I can have knee replacement surgery. If I keep losing weight I am sure I can lower the A1C adequately. I see a dietician once per week and that is where I do my weigh-in. She is very supportive and helpful. Her name is Carole Stevens and I mention her name because she is the one who recommended IdealShape to me in the first place. So…hopefully less of me will be weighing in next week!

I started my diet on the 28th of December and didn’t receive my shakes until the 5th of January. I lost about 4 pounds without the shakes, and then have lost about another 4 pounds since I started on the shakes. I do the shake for breakfast and for the late evening snack. They definitely help with my appetite. I can truthfully say that my thinking about food has definitely decreased since using the shakes. I am definitely able to stop eating in the evenings. THAT IS A FIRST FOR ME. I normally can’t stop eating all evening. I am hoping this becomes a permanent habit.
I didn’t take my measurements before starting so I don’t know if I am losing inches. I have the measurements from a year ago (when I weighed exactly the same as I did when I started) but haven’t looked them up again yet. I don’t usually change a whole lot anyway….even my sister tells me that when I lose weight I don’t look much different. My real reason for wanting to lose is to be able to run faster. I know the added weight is slowing me down. I lost (but then regained) almost 20 pounds last year and cut my pace time down from an 11 min. pace to a 9:55 pace.
I haven’t been able to exercise yet due to recovering from surgery. I get the stitches out Monday and should be able to start walking in water. I am already signed up at the community center and can’t wait. I haven’t been able to run since Thanksgiving. I am tired of sitting around.
I don’t know if you can give me any pointers or not, but I struggle with trying to lose weight while running…I can’t seem to figure out how to fuel for a run and cut back on calories. I figured that since I can’t run, I would simply concentrate on losing weight. I AM TRULY SURPRISED THAT I AM ACTUALLY LOSING AT 1500 CALORIES A DAY!!. I really don’t get it. I just hope I keep losing.

I had a cheat night last night and afterwards I didn’t have that warm fuzzy feeling I normally get from eating like that!!! I felt horrible so lesson learned once you start eating healthy you can feel the difference when you eat the way before you started eating healthy. Total I have lost 6 pounds and felt really good this last week. Following the meal plan has been a big success for me and that bag of chips in the pantry that has been starring at me has been my biggest hurdle!!!! I am up to 10,000 steps a day and I am trying to burn 2500-3000 calories a day is my goal!!! thanks for your continued support as I progress!!!

Not a problem though, like you said lesson learned. But this does not mean you have to deprive yourself 100% from the things you enjoy, you will just want to have them in moderation.

I have just finished week 2 and lost exactly 30 pounds but I have 70 more to lose. I have lost 3″ around the waist. I am drinking 2 shakes per day and tons of water-over 1/2 gal. The shakes fill me up for hours. My snacks during the day consist of an apple or an orange, a few oz. of chicken or turkey, 20-30 almonds (yes I count them), or a protein bar. Dinner is a small salad or Nutribullet smoothie. I eat only when I start to feel hungry, basically a 3-5 hr schedule. I plan on starting exercising this week. I travel extensively plan around my schedule especially going through airports, I make sure I have a shake before, bring a couple of protein bars and buy fruit along the way and drink lots of water.

I then try to eat a hard boiled egg or something healthier. Maybe I will have to try a Idealbar. I feel great having lost some weight, but feel i need to also tone my body. I am not a big workout person, but wondering what i can do to tone my body while losing the weight? I hope to try to lose 1 lb a week, that is my goal and once i lose the 10 lbs to try to maintain that loss and keep eating healthy. Any suggestions will be welcome!

I am doing well during the week with the food plan, a shake in the morning, snacks and shake some days at lunch. Weekends are my struggle for eating as we eat out more, but I am working on making better choices, salad with dressing on the side, meat w/o bread. I took a break after eating the shakes for a couple of days because I had really bad heartburn (I had also been using the ideal drinks you mix with water). I just started again yesterday and the heartburn is back, but it didn’t keep me up in the night like before, however I started using prilosec again. Is this something my body will get used to? I’d rather not continue to use Prilosec. I’ve been using the Chocolate shake, is the vanilla better for heartburn? I’ve tried the ideal water mix drinks without an ideal shake and it does not give me heartburn. It’s super weird.

I’m kind of confused how to use them as far as do I replace them for one of my meals and snacks or do I somehow add them in too? I usually wake up do my breakfast shake and then wait about 30 min, do my work out, then wait about another 30-60 min and then do one of my snacks. What do you recommend and what is the best way to do it?

This is my 14 day mark. I lost 2&1/2lbs. But some days the scale shows no loss & I began to think its not working! Then I read others comment and see this can be a natural happening.
You asked for a”hurdle”. Well, I’m a night person and ask, can I have salads and fish/chicken in the day time and then have the bars and shakes at evening time? Rather backwards I know, but my hunger is at night! (My junk foods occurred around 8:00pm). I’ve tried it with good results but thought I’d better check in. So far I’m pleased with results. I know I have a slow metabolism. Looking forward to next month!

I have only lost 2 lbs and that was the first day that I started the shakes. However, the gains I had gained during the holidays have stopped, so I guess that’s a bit of progress. I am a little frustrated because I’ve done Atkins before with good weight loss results during induction and held those results for many months. I think that I may have become more insulin resistant over the holidays with WAY too much sugars. I am considering trying a week or so of Atkins to reset my insulin resistance and remind my body to burn fat. I also am questioning my cheat day. Another hurdle is dealing with family dinners. We end up with three different meals being prepared because of the differences in caloric needs. (middle aged man, middle aged woman and teenage stick girl) But despite all of this, I am continuing the course of increased fitness and decreased excessive body .

Keep up the hard work Darlene! I promise if you stick to the meal plan exactly, you will have results. A cheat day once a week should be a set time that you decide to indulge. This keeps it manageable and keeps you from splurging throughout the week because you have something to look forward to!

I am down 4 lbs in 3 weeks. I find that when I stick with 2 shakes a day and 3 other healthy meals/snacks I am not craving the things I used to. I also like having 1 cheat meal a week. :). Where I need help with is exercising. I’m a single mom of 2 young girls and work full time and find that I just can’t motivate myself after the long days.

My first two weeks went alright. I am losing 2 lbs a week and that has been my aim. Because I don’t cook I have been going the Weight watcher dinners and sticking with my calorie count each day. I have also started putting a little exercise back into my day trying to work my way up to a healthier me. I did have headaches for the first week but that didn’t stop me. The shakes are great. I have COPD so my exercise is different that the fast paced ones they have but I still exercise so I’m doing great. My biggest hurdle was to not do the late night snacks and if I did to choose fruit or something else that was healthy.

I am down 3 pounds, 2 week 1 and 1 week 2. I’m thrilled with the results and feel great. I am doing 1 shake for breakfast, bars for snacks and staying within calories for lunch/dinner. I am very carb sensitive, so all my carbs come from veggies. I chose to eliminate all grains from the eating plan. My biggest success is that I feel in control for the first time in my life. The smaller more frequent meals are helping with that. My only hurdle is the scale. I’m working on just the way I feel instead of letting the scale dictate my mood. Always a work in progress…….

I got started late because of a cold, I’m day 6 into the plan and I’m down 3 pounds already and lost probably an inch .. I feel great! My biggest challenge is eating every 3 hours because of my job. I’m a hairstylist so it’s not always possible to just stop and eat.. Sometimes I eat to often then not often enough. I find myself so off by afternoon snack and dinner that if I continued on schedule it would be after bed time .. So I eat my last 2 meals really close together 🙁

Less stress and self-expectations are keeping me more consistent. So 20 more pounds to go which I feel is do-able these next 9 weeks. 🙂 I love drinking the IdealShake for breakfast. It really does help fuel me through the morning. I make myself eat my fruit for my morning snack.

I am getting better, but I find myself hungry a lot of the time. I did not feel this way before. I am going to keep better track of my calorie intake because I may not be hitting my target. I bought the ideal bars and find those leave me wanting more even with drinking a 16 oz bottle of water after. I am happy not only to be down 6 lbs but also I have more energy and am feeling better than ever because I think the key was making sure I have nutrients in my body during the day. I was and am still not a great breakfast or lunch person but the shakes make it easy I keep one container at work and one at home so I always have it on hand. SOOO frustrating….I think my body is brain dead! I love the workouts. Biggest success…..being consistent with the workouts. I’ve lost 9 lbs, but more importantly I feel fantastic. I no longer get the afternoon blahs, my energy level is high and remains steady throughout the day and evening. Also, the increase and exercise and decrease in sugar have eased the pain and stiffness caused by arthritis. My biggest victory: staying on plan every single day even though there are two huge bags of potato chips in the pantry and a drawer full of Milky Ways in my husbands night stand. Biggest Challenge: getting to the gym. I know it’s only been two weeks but I’m confident this is a plan I can stick with for the rest of my life and not only get to goal but keep the weight off this time.

I’m excited I lost 6 lbs! I am actually on week three but I weighed myself last week and lost 4-5 lbs! The hardest part is being consistent with the exercise. So far I have been missing one work out each week. I do make up for it the next day but feel it’s not quite what I should be doing. But the results are showing so I guess I shouldn’t be too hard on myself. When I feel I’m too tired I say to myself “it’s only 20 minutes” most of the time it works. I received my shakes during week two and have been drinking those twice a day along with the ideal shape bars. This week I received by ideal boost and tried a few of those.

Yes week one was really hard, I didn’t stick to the plan and that messed me up. I didn’t loose any weight but I have had some energy, also I was sick for a couple of days and that hurt. I have really been trying to exercise but, that is really hard for me to. Yes I do get really discouraged cause I have so much to loose that it doesn’t seem like nothing is going to work. I really like this though and plan on sticking with it. My main goal for this week is to follow the plan and exercise right. My biggest hurdle I would say is just trying to eat right and stick to the plan. It is so hard when junk food is always around me. I am going doing better this week!

After 2 weeks of using the Ideal Shakes (4 days/week), I am down 2 lbs. The Protein Shakes help me keep calorie count down each day, along with burning calories/day with wt lift, exercises & walking/running. I eat small (fresh fruit & veg) snacks in between the 2 shake meal replacements, then a regular supper of restricted calories. I’m thinking that is what you consider 5 ‘meals’ per day?

Yes this is correct. So you want to eat 5 moderately-small meals a day. So a shake for breakfast and lunch, two healthy snacks in between those meals, and then a sensible dinner. Keep it up Andrea you’re doing GREAT! 🙂

Really love the shakes (and support). I don’t think I’m utilizing the shakes in a beneficial way. However here’s what’s going on:
*Down 4 lbs. not that great but I agree with mussel gain. So I’m focused on that.
*I work 2am-10am and its difficult to be on a “routine diet”, this is my biggest hurdle.
    * I realized I eat more out of Boredom and I just have to figure out how to redirect my mind. Any suggestions?

Hi Michael! First of all, congrats on your weight loss! Any weight loss is a reason to celebrate. I totally understand that it’s definitely difficult to be on a routine diet with a crazy schedule. When do you sleep? I recommend having a shake when you wake up for “breakfast” and then eating every 2-3 hours from there. So have a shake, then a healthy snack a few hours later. Then have a shake for lunch, then a healthy snack a few hours later. Then dinner a few hours after that! 🙂 Hope that helps! Keep up the great work!

I have lost 3 pounds in 10 days. About a year ago I made it through the first round of insanity and lost 10 lbs. I gained the weight back over 6 months. Now I’m trying it again. I am only doing a morning shake then yogurt snack. A small lunch then a protein bar snack. then dinner. I find myself getting really hungry about an hour after dinner. I work out 5 days a week usually Insanity workout or T25 when short on time. Tried ideal shape after not seeing much weight loss after working out and lifting weights alone. Now I’m trying to focus on cardio which is why I chose Insanity again.

    Currently at I am 5’5, 193 pounds.

Ok, So I have been doing this for about a week and the first week I didn’t stick with it, had a lot going on so I didn’t lose anything. I also had to make some changes. Like I was having like a shake as soon as I woke up, then snack around 9, lunch shake around 11:30, then snack around 2. My problem….I was starving when I got off at 4. So now since I am really not starving when I get up, I had my breakfast shake at 9, snack at 11:30, lunch shake at 2, then snack around 4:30 then a small meal for supper. I am better able to control my hunger. I am hoping to check back in with a weight loss next week! We will see. Does anyone out there have any ideas for smoothies with the pumpkin kind? I notice they are not in the smoothie book. Wish me luck!

    Thanks!

Today makes exactly my 2 weeks. Down 5lbs. I have plenty of energy. The boost helps mid day or after noon when at work cuz i get tired and it gives me the energy. I’ve worked-out not, not as consistent. Have to admit i had my cheat meal. But happy w my results now. Going for another 5! Biggest challange right now is not having at least a little coffee, but for the most part I have succeded. I’ve had coffee twice in two Weeks.

I have been taking the shakes now for two weeks, breakfast and lunch, plus this is my 4th day on the 15 day challenge. I have lost 5 pounds. I have been exercising on and off for several years but your 15 day challenge makes me feel that I am actually working out. My biggest challenge is I want to eat, not always healthy, when i just get home from work and at Night. any suggestions? I’m taking only the shakes.

My biggest hurdle so far is eating the 5 meals a day. I normally only ate 2-3 times a day at most, so it’s hard to add in those extra few meals. The great thing is tho in the last two weeks I have upped my workouts and have been eating the 5 small meals a day and I have lost 7lbs!! I am so happy!! I have been stuck in a rut for a while so it feels great to be seeing the weight coming off again!

I’ve had a slow start, having an ideal shake for breakfast most work days, but still eating my normal foods the rest of the time (with some healthy adjustments sometimes, but not always). When I run out of frozen lunches, I plan to add an ideal shake for lunch and see how that goes…but it’s not really keeping me full in the morning unless I wait to drink it after I arrive at work, so not sure how lunch will go. I don’t really exercise, but know I need to in order to at least get more toned. I have lost about 2 lbs.

Sorry for my late check in…its been busy as it is for most I am sure. I am down 5 lbs but may have caused myself to go backwards last night from indulging in my wine. It is one of my challenges. I did not measure when I first started because I live alone, have a hard time seeing certain body surface areas and needed to find someone I was comfortable in allowing them to see and measure me. I have gotten that done so in the future will be able to hopefully use the loss of inches as motivation as well. How often should you measure yourself?
I am not a morning person so my workouts happen in the evening after work and another challenge I face is making sure I make that time for me. Should I be doing additional cardio to burn fat along with the weekly fat/strength work outs?
I am slightly frustrated when I drink my shake for breakfast and lunch and struggle when y office mate has some good looking lunch stuff…but I am trying to tell myself better to self start this healthy lifestyle and get fit an lose weight than the surgical alternative. I have 80lbs to lose and sometimes its hard to see that there may be light at the end of the tunnel. You mention muscle gain due to work outs but with as much weight as I have to lose would I still see the weight come off first?
The comments here have definitely helped and look forward to the next check in and your feedback.

Hi Dawn! You’ve got this!! Adding cardio to a workout couldn’t hurt. It would be awesome! But you don’t have to add it in. I would measure yourself every time you weigh in- like once a week. You would still see the weight come off first. Muscle gain would be happening, but for you to see that muscle the fat must come off first. However, sometimes building muscle can make it seem like you’re not losing as much fat as you are because it weighs some, but you are still losing FAT and that is what matters. Hope this helps! 🙂

It has been 2 weeks since I started Idealshape Shakes. It has not been easy but it also has not been as hard as I thought it would be, meaning I could push myself a little harder. Having shakes for breakfast has helped me so much and it was the easiest transition ever. I usually didn’t have breakfast and now it is so easy to get my day started and it is something that my stomach can handle that early in the morning. The hardest obstacle for me has been taking my second shake for lunch and eating my other healthy snacks as opposed to unhealthy greasy and salty snacks. I love salty and spicy foods, I just don’t love what they do to me. Four out of the seven days in a week I can make it and feel great about myself, but I have cheated a few days when I choose to skip lunch and all my other small meals or snacks and by the end of the day have a huge dinner. I have lost 3 Lbs in 2 weeks and I am so happy with that. I know I can do better. I have been trying to go to the gym more and I usually make it 2 times a week. I like to think I am also very active just on a normal day basis, my job requires me to walk almost all day and assist people. The fist two weeks have been good, just not as great as I could have possibly made them. I am going to do better for myself.
    Thanks for all the support!

After a week I am down about 2.5 lbs, however, I have been working out since the beginning of January and have really not seen the scale move until Ideal Shake. I feel a big difference in my exercise pants (they are falling off of me) so that 2.5 lbs has to be more fat and muscle gain. It really helps control hunger most days. Also I have found myself craving the shakes. It did take a few days to get used to them.

My biggest success was staying with the plan during the week and losing 7 pounds. However, my biggest hurdle was the weekend. The lack of routine made it harder to eat my five small meals and it was a slippery slope. I need to do a better job of staying focused on the weekends, regardless of what our plans are.

I always add hot sauce then it tastes amazing. Then about 2 in a half hours later I eat cantaloupe with a piece of cheese and a boiled egg. And for my last meal I make a chocolate shake with pb2 and oatmeal and it tastes so yummy. If I get hungry in between meals I try to snack on celery or fruit … I’m pretty impressed with how good the shakes taste I think next week I will work on making my own recipes and see what new ones I can come up with!!!! YES, I lost TEN pound in TEN DAYS!!! For the most part, I follow the plan. I just started the treadmill (only 30 minutes but not daily ,yet) along with doing a few crunches on the ab lounge. I have to do baby steps as far as physical workouts due to health issues. It is my goal to be able to walk 6 miles (5-6 days per week) within the next 6 weeks!

15 days for me with new diet and exercise. Day 1 250lbs to day 15 238lbs. I have been doing 1800 calorie days with 5 meals a day. I have been doing the ideal shakes and I am real happy with them. I pre make my meals for several days and portion them all out into containers. My biggest hurdle has been giving up soda. I am felling much better just by eating healthy food and exercising again.

It’s been two weeks since I have started the shakes. I’m down 7lbs and haven’t even started my workout videos yet. Love the shakes and can’t wait for the bars to come in the mail.

I started the plan not quite 2 weeks ago and have lost 2 pounds and a couple of inches. I have experienced some bloating and gas, but I know that is from changing my eating habits. Love the protein shakes and ideal bars and most of all I don’t have the cravings for sweets as much as I before. I’m hoping to have more energy soon, but all in all I am very pleased with the Idealshape products.

Been on the 12 week challenge for 2 weeks now and following it completely with both nutrition and workouts but gained 2.5#. Frustrated but starting the 15 day challenge. So hopefully that darn scale will go down instead of up. Love the shakes.

Hi Karen! Make sure you are following the IdealPlan 100%. Also, sometimes when you are gaining muscle, it can cause weight gain. Stick to it though- and you will see results!

Since I started my life style change in January I have lost 11.8 lbs. i have enjoyed learning new recipes for my family and I to share in the evenings. My biggest hurdle has been the workouts. My back gets to the point where it feels good then I start doing a little something then it goes out. For the first time though I will be starting a yoga class to hopefully help strengthen my core and back. I am loving the shakes and the snack bars! Was I supposed to get a idealplan book as well as the recipe book or is that all in one?

Can I just say that I love IdealShape!? I LOVE IT. I only lost one pound the first week despite following the meal plan with the daily exercise. I decided to stick to it even though I was feeling a bit discouraged. Then last week I lost 3 pounds, for a total weight loss of 4 pounds! I can definitely tell a difference in how bloated and tired I used to feel! I find myself looking forward to drinking the shakes in the morning (I have the chocolate kind) and I can’t wait to see how I feel at the end of the month!
I would say that the biggest hurdle is actually spending money on healthy food at the grocery store! It is really expensive for me because I am a college student in debt, living on my own with bills to pay, and working full time. I hope that I can figure out a way to budget the healthy food into my life!

Thank you Idealshape for giving me the tools and resources I needed to start the weight loss, and I’ll also thank myself for a job well done! 🙂

Two weeks in. I lost two pounds the first week. Love the variety of the shakes, but really miss actual eating. Going to jump back in starting tomorrow and may adjust which meals o replace!

I’ve lost 2.2 pounds – my biggest snack time is when I get home from work – eating junk while making dinner – I’ve been having the Ideal shakes for lunch and I’m not hungry. I’ve made the chai shake with vanilla and the pina colada both delicious and filling.
