Hey guys, I’m Zac Price. I’m a husband, father to 3 little dudes, a business owner, and a certified personal trainer.
I’m so excited to get to work with you, and see you achieve your own ideal results. Even if you think it is impossible right now, I’m telling you it is possible to achieve your goals! All you need is some motivation and balance.
First off, let me just say how incredibly PSYCHED my wife Kami and I are to be a part of the IdealShape family! As a family man myself, I know how important it is to have a support system and good people around you when you’re trying to reach your goals. I’ve recommended IdealShape products and plans to my clients, and use them myself while training 200+ sessions each week. I’ve seen first-hand just how effective they are, this stuff really works!
But hey, before we get going, allow me to introduce myself real fast. I grew up like a lot of guys, playing with whatever ball I could get my hands on and have loved being active most of my life. That said, also like a lot of guys, I really, REALLY like pizza and burgers from time to time! It’s all about balance, right?
I have always been interested in self-improvement and knew I wanted to help people in my life and career. Becoming a personal trainer was a natural way for me to do that and stay active. Training even helped me win over the best blind date I ever had, my wife Kami! We’ve been married for 10 years and have 3 crazy little boys, all under age 6. Needless to say, we’re always on our toes, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Together we have fulfilled my dream of helping people change their bodies, minds and lives with a personal training gym and yoga studio. We’ve helped thousands of people in our community, and we genuinely, deeply care about all of our friends (clients). We get inspired seeing them not only achieve their health and fitness goals, but grow and improve every part of their lives.
Because you know what? To me fitness is about SO much more than just push-ups and protein shakes. It’s about chasing our own ideal, inside and out, so we can become the very best version of ourselves.
Motivation: Find Your “Why”
So that brings us to motivation. Before Kami and I start training a new client, we always ask them to come up a with a list of “Whys.” These are reasons why they are wanting to get healthy and fit.
We’ve found that the most successful weight loss results come when you dig down deep and figure out exactly “why” you want to lose weight. IdealShape has collected over 100 thousand surveys from people just like you that show reasons for weight loss go beyond just the general “I want to lose weight because I want to lose weight” kind of mindset.
“What is Your Why?”
- I’m sick and tired of feeling sick and tired!
- I want to feel confident.
- I need to look good for my “fill in a big event,” like a wedding, graduation, reunion, cruise -the list goes on!
- I want to look as young as I feel.
- I need to be a good example for my kids.
- I want to be able to play with my kids and have energy.
- I want to be able to spend more time with my family and keep up!
- I had an injury/surgery, I want to bounce back.
- What other reasons do you have to take control of your health?
My why is my family. I want to be the best and healthiest version of myself for my kids and my wife, so I can spend time with them and enjoy life to the fullest.
What are your whys? Knowing your motivation and keeping it in your mind will help you so much in reaching your goals both in fitness and in life. We can tell you exactly what you need to eat, and we can have some killer workouts, but if you aren’t motivated, it won’t matter. If you want to see results, you need to keep that motivation in your mind.
We’ll help motivate you as much as we can, but here’s some simple ways I’ve found that work to help keep me and my clients focused on our goals. I know how hard it can be but trust me, you can do it!
- Put your “why” on your bathroom mirror, on your refrigerator door, by your bed, or anywhere you’ll see it.
- Write yourself a motivational note or favorite quote that will encourage you to lace up your walking shoes when you’re feeling down or tired.
- Keep some healthy snacks around to prevent temptations, and try to keep on a schedule for exercising and meals. It’s easier to stay motivated when you have a plan and when life gets busy (like it always does), this helps a ton!
Finding the Balance
These days, life seems busier than ever before. When did this happen? Juggling the roles of husband, father, and business owner, I understand:
It can be hard to find time to eat right and exercise.
