Depending on the type and intensity of a workout, you could be burning calories for hours after a workout thanks to a cool thing called excess post-exercise oxygen consumption, or EPOC for short.

For those of you who want to know a cool piece of exercise science, I’ll quickly explain EPOC.

Your body is very smart. Its primary goal is to keep you in a normal state called homeostasis.

Homeostasis is when the body is in equilibrium and all is calm and well.

Exercise disturbs this equilibrium, quite a bit. So after a workout, your body works to get everything back to a normal resting state.

The good news? It has to burn calories to do this.

The harder a workout you do, the more calories your body burns after to return to homeostasis. Pretty cool, right?

These 15 minute workouts may be short, but they are perfect for getting that blood pumping and body moving.

You’ll rev your metabolism (thanks to EPOC) and get it done in under 15 minutes. Boom!

1.Tank Top Arms

Complete each exercise below with 10-12 reps, repeat 3-5 times.

2. Booty Workout

Do each move 10-12 times, repeat 3-5 times.

3. Cardio Burst

Do each move for 20-30 seconds with 10 seconds of rest in between each exercise. Repeat 3-5 times.

4. Killer Abs

Do each move for 20-30 seconds with 10 seconds rest in between each exercise. Repeat 3-5 times.

5. Gorgeous Shoulders

Complete each move for 10-12 reps, repeat 3-5 times.
