Delicious Breakfast Recipes for Weight Loss

Breakfast! A.K.A. the most DELICIOUS meal of the day. Breakfast foods make me so happy, and there seems to be an endless supply of yummy foods to eat!

Even though there are tons of breakfast food options, it can be easy to get stuck in a rut of boring breakfast foods when you’re trying to lose weight. Days on end of egg whites and plain toast can get old.

I compiled some of my absolute favorite breakfast recipes for weight loss! These recipes are the furthest thing from boring, and they can help you reach your weight loss goals. Let’s eat!

Rainbow Pancakes

¼ c white whole wheat flour

¼ c oats, ground

1 scoop Vanilla IdealShake

1 tsp. baking powder

⅛ tsp. salt

½ c unsweetened almond milk

½ medium banana, mashed

1 tbsp. cashew butter, melted

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1 egg

food coloring (optional)


  1. In a mixing bowl combine flour, ground oats, Vanilla IdealShake, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add almond milk, mashed banana, cashew butter, vanilla extract, and egg and whisk until smooth.
  3. Add ¼ cup batter to separate bowls and add a couple drops of different food coloring to each and stir until combined.
  4. Spray an electric skillet or frying pan over medium heat and spoon batter into the pan, until the pancakes barely bubbles. Flip pancakes and continue to cook until done. Enjoy!

Makes 6 pancakes. Serving size: 3 pancakes. Calories per serving: 260 / Protein 14g / Carbs 33g / Fat 9g

Ginger Berry Smoothie

1 c frozen berries

½ medium banana

1 tsp. fresh ginger, minced

1 scoop Strawberry IdealShake

1 c unsweetened almond milk


  1. Add ice, blend, and enjoy!

Serves 1. Calories per serving: 255 / Protein 14g / Carbs 42g / Fat 6g

Blueberry Cheesecake Bites

½ c non-fat plain Greek yogurt

1 scoop Cheesecake IdealShake

¼ c blueberries

10 tsp. low-fat granola


  1. Mix yogurt, cream cheese, and IdealShake until smooth.
  2. Add 1 tbsp. of granola to each muffin tin (6 total) creating crust.
  3. Add yogurt mixture to the top of each and top with blueberries.
  4. Freeze at least 2 hours or until solid. Remove from muffin tins. Store in freezer. Enjoy!

Serves 5. Serving size: 2 cheesecake bites. Calories per serving: 50 / Protein 5g / Carbs 7g / Fat 1g

Mini Strawberry Cream Pies

2 low-fat graham crackers

2 tsp. coconut oil, melted

2 tsp. honey

1 scoop Strawberry IdealShake

1 tbsp. Greek yogurt cream cheese

¼ c non-fat plain Greek yogurt

¼ c sugar-free Cool Whip


  1. Blend graham crackers into crumbs and mix with coconut oil and honey to form crust. Press down into the bottom of 4 small mason jars.
  2. Whisk cream cheese, IdealShake, and yogurt until smooth. Fold in cool whip. Add equally to each crust and refrigerate for half an hour. Enjoy!

Makes 4 mini pies. Serving size: 1 mini pie. Calories per serving: 112 / Protein 5g / Carbs 14g / Fat 5g
