Too Simple to Work?
It might seem too simple when other health and weight loss “gurus” swear that the ONLY way to lose weight is with loads of exercise and strict diets.
Most of these diets are absolutely ridiculous. I’m trying not to laugh just thinking about them: the soup diet, apple cider vinegar diet (gag), prune juice diet, pickle diet, the cookie diet, the baby food diet. The list goes on!

Why Meal Replacement Shakes Work… And Diets Don’t
We all know that most people lose some weight with traditional diets but then regain the weight back (plus more) after. We know because we’ve experienced it or we know someone who has.
It might not seem fair but there is a reason this relentless weight fluctuation happens to so many people.
Diets are not a sustainable form of weight loss or a healthy lifestyle. They restrict your calories and your food choices, and to make matters worse you feel hungry ALL THE TIME making success impossible.
In my professional opinion, hunger is the number one reason dieters fail to lose weight.
When you’re in a constant state of hunger, you can only go for so long until you crack and fall completely off the wagon. Any diet that doesn’t solve the problem of hunger simply isn’t sustainable.
I’m sure all of you know what I’m talking about, the hunger (and hanger) is REAL when you are dieting.
Even if you do manage to lose a few pounds, when you go off your diet, you go back to your bad eating habits, and then, to your horror, the weight that you worked so hard to lose starts to creep back.
Then the vicious cycle begins all over again: Go on a new “miracle” diet, lose a few pounds, quit out of sheer hunger, binge, and repeat.
I hate diets if you couldn’t tell. Which is, again, why I recommend meal replacement shakes for weight loss. They’re far from a restrictive diet.
I don’t even consider a meal replacement shake a “diet” because you’ll never be starving yourself or severely restricting your food choices. I wouldn’t recommend a meal replacement if they did!
A meal replacement shake is a convenient and simple way to replace the high-calorie meals we all indulge in every day with a low-calorie alternative. You can even make these meal replacements into delicious smoothies and dessert-like shakes.
How to Find Good Meal Replacement Shakes
First of all, not all meal replacement shakes are created equal.
That’s right… Some meal replacement shakes can help you reduce your calories but will leave you feeling absolutely STARVING during the day. And like I mentioned earlier, that’s the exact opposite of what you want.
So how do you know which meal replacement shake is the best? Well, there are a few pre-requisites to consider when considering a shake.
- Is it filling? If a shake isn’t filling, well you might as well go on one of those fad diets because the results are going to be about the same.
- Is it delicious? If you buy a shake that tastes like chalk and expect to see long-term results, you’re kidding yourself. Loving the taste of your meal replacement shake will lead to continued use and long-term weight loss.
- Is it nutritious? In order to maximize your weight loss in a healthy way, your shake will need to have the proper balance of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals.
- Is it affordable? Again, if you want to see real results a hit it and quit it shake isn’t going to do it. Find a shake that you can actually afford so you don’t stop your momentum.
- BONUS: Does it come with a plan that tells you how to get the best results possible? If you don’t have a plan you won’t know how to get the most out of your shake. You need a plan that can tell you precisely what you should do to shed the most pounds possible.
Any good shake should check at least a couple of these boxes.
