Hey guys, I’m Kami Price. Yoga instructor, personal trainer, wife, and momma. I have three little boyfriends that I chase around all day. It’s a lot of fun, but it can get really busy.
When we started our gym, we didn’t have any money saved. We were young, broke and inexperienced, and maxed out several credit cards to get it up and going, but we knew that was what we wanted to do. We worked hard, long hours to get where we are today, and sacrificed a lot… but you know what? It was so worth it.
We have been able to help many people lose weight, create healthy habits, and transform their lives. These people inspire me on the daily. To witness someone’s journey is a truly humbling thing. I am so glad that I am a part of it. And now I can’t wait to share this life-changing program with YOU.

Don’t Quit Your Daydream. No. Matter. What.
Sometimes you may feel like the timing isn’t right, that when you’re older, or when you have more money, or when you’re more in control of your life THEN you can do what you want. Then you will have the time to spend on yourself and lose the weight, then you can start a business, then you will eat healthier, then you can go back to school, then you will have more money, or whatever else it may be.
But the thing is, life will always be busy and hectic. There isn’t always a perfect moment. Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith. Step outside of your comfort zone and trust the journey.
That is not saying that the ride will always be perfect. In fact, it will seem far from that at times. And I can tell you, I get it. I have been there. There have been many times that I have doubted myself, doubted my abilities, doubted my strength.
I struggled with my weight growing up. I was never happy with myself or my body, I didn’t feel cute enough, or skinny enough. The only time that I felt good enough was when I danced. For me, dance was my escape. During this time I forgot about everything else that was going wrong. I felt free.
But then I got injured, and could no longer dance. I ended up gaining 30 pounds in a short amount of time as a result of my injury. This was the darkest point of my life. I didn’t like who I was. I was not happy with myself or my body.
How Exercising and Eating Right Can Change Your Life
But, there was a light at the end of this tunnel. I was able to learn how to love myself, and it took time! But I began to realize that being in control of my body and my weight helped me to be in control of a lot of other aspects of my life as well.
And this change in my life inspired me to want to help others lose weight and take control too. If I could make these changes, I knew others could make these changes as well and finally lose the weight just like I did.
With proper nutrition, exercise, and the right amount of self-love, people can transform their bodies and their lives. So that is what we set out to do… change lives through fitness and nutrition. Now we work with hundreds of clients every week and have come up with effective solutions to weight loss.
And now we will share our weight loss secrets with YOU. We have practical meal plans and exercise programs that will work to help you achieve your ideal shape and take control of your life.
I’m not kidding you when I say that having the chance to work with you and help you achieve your weight loss goals is beyond a dream come true. And we can’t wait to show you just how practical and fun weight loss can actually be!
Now you might remember me saying that I was a yoga instructor at the beginning. I don’t feel like it would be right for me to leave this out of our IdealShape for Life challenge as it has become such a big part of who I am today.
I first tried out yoga in 2009. At that time I was lifting a lot of weights so it felt pretty good to stretch out, but I wasn’t in love with it. So I stopped practicing. Fast forward to 2014 and man was that year hard for me, in every way. But that fall I rediscovered yoga. I found a few yoga accounts on Instagram that truly inspired me, and I joined a yoga studio. I was excited to learn all of the tricks, handstands, and arm balances you see so many people doing.
But what I shortly realized was that there was so much more to the practice than just the tricks, flexibility, and strength that came along with it. One class after another I was able to peel back more layers, and become more of myself.
For me, yoga is the journey home. To the person I was before the world hardened me. Before there were labels and judgements. I use the poses to strengthen my physical body and the breathing techniques to calm my mind, and that has enabled me to develop a deeper connection with my true self.
True yoga isn’t practiced just on the mat, but off of it as well. I am learning to trust myself more, I am stepping more and more outside of my comfort zone, and I’m learning to believe in myself, in all aspects of my life. I’m so excited for you to discover the power of yoga for weight loss. Yoga has the ability to help you bring more self-awareness into your life which will help you tremendously on your weight loss journey.
Why I Include Yoga in My Program:
1. It’s a Good Workout!
Yoga will help you to sculpt your muscles and build strength. Strong muscles actually protect you from conditions like arthritis and back pain, and in practicing yoga you will find a good balance between strength and flexibility. And of course muscle burns more calories than fat. So gaining more lean muscle actually helps you to increase your metabolism.
2. Improved Flexibility
That brings me to my next point! Regularly performing yoga will help your body loosen up, which will increase flexibility. This helps to prevent injury and increases range of motion. Avoiding injury is so important during your weight loss journey because injury has the potential to derail your progress. Missing a workout because of an injury can be discouraging and it might send you back to your old habits.
3. Improved Sleep
Restorative yoga and meditation works to relax the nervous system. Because the nervous system is responsible for a restful sleep, you may find that the quality of your sleep improves. I know I did! And guess what? Losing weight without getting the right amount of sleep is dang hard. Not to mention that a lack of sleep makes it practically impossible to give your best during every workout. Don’t underestimate the importance of sleep!
4. Improved Posture
Poor posture can cause back, neck, and other joint and muscle problems. Yoga works to get your body back into proper alignment so you will notice improved posture as a result.
5. Form a Healthy Lifestyle
Regular yoga practice gets you moving and burning calories, and the emotional aspect of yoga may encourage you to address eating and weight problems on a deeper level. Like I said before yoga can help you be much more self-aware. It can actually help you to be more conscious of the foods that you eat, and affect a lot of other areas of your life as well that will help you achieve your ideal shape for life.
6. Lowers Blood Pressure
Yoga is actually great for your heart, and over time will work to improve cardiovascular function.
7. Relieves Stress
Yoga employs relaxation techniques that will help to make you calmer overall. Practicing mindfulness through yoga can result in higher serotonin levels to make you happier. And just like a lack of sleep prevents weight loss an overload of stress can too. So de-stressing is really important for successful weight loss and yoga can help with that.
And believe it or not, this is just skimming the surface. There are so many other benefits associated with consistently practicing yoga.
