Here are a few things to consider:
- Is it meant for weight loss? If you’re trying to lose weight you obviously want a shake that supports that. Not all shakes are designed for that. So make sure you get a shake this is low-cal (around 100 calories per serving) and has a balance of protein, carbs, and fat that is effective for weight loss.
- Does it have superfoods built right in? One of the primary things to look for in a super shake is superfoods (see what I did there 😉 ) Superfoods are a great way to add a boost of nutrition to your shake.
- Is it naturally filling? Like I mentioned before, hunger can kill your weight loss goals. It can make you want to jump off the weight loss wagon and then burn the wagon to the ground (hint: your late night, guilt ridden pantry raid isn’t good for your goals or your sanity.) Get a shake with a healthy dose of protein and fiber. Both of those things slow down digestion and help you feel fuller longer.
- Is it naturally sweetened and flavored? This one is more of a bonus but I still like to throw it in. If you want to go natural, stevia is the sweetener to look for.
- Does it come with a plan to help you maximize your results? When it comes to any meal replacement shake you need a complete plan to help you get the best results possible. Without a plan you’re just guessing or learning as you go. When you have a plan you can get results from the very beginning. No questions, no confusion.
- Is it affordable? It doesn’t really matter if a shake does all of these things if it isn’t affordable! Affordable=sustainable. If you can’t afford a shake then you won’t be able to experience the benefits long-term.
