I admit I was skeptical after reading all of the reviews. It seemed like every one of them said the Idealgreens has a horrible taste. Just recently I returned a Vega pre-workout after one serving because I just could NOT do the taste... I gotta tell you, the Idealgreens is not bad!! It kinda tastes like you've added dry grass into your drink haha. It is earthy but not bad. I can definitely stand a full scoop in my post-workout protein and my afternoon Idealraw protein. Even my 11 year-old daughter drinks it. I've been drinking it a for a couple weeks. I can't say I've noticed anything major but I love how easy it is to add some vegetables with the vitamins and minerals to your diet. Definitely recommend!
This tastes and smells just like matcha tea (which is excellent for you). It also makes everything that it is blended with taste like matcha as well. There is no masking the taste. It's not bad, but don't try to make it better, it won't work.
I cant stand the taste as is. I tried simply mixing it with my shakes and it still was hard to choke down. I found I can use half a scoop if I blend my shake with fruit or peanut butter. But only half a scoop. A full adds too bad of a taste for me.
This is a better option than IdealShake Super because you can control how much "Greens Superfood" you add to each shake. I found the taste overpowered my shake, so I opted to mix 1/2 a scoop per scoop of shake or add two scoops of shake per scoop of greens superfood. Either way, this is a great and easy way to add veggies to a diet.
I add the powder to a shake and then it is just like buying a super food blend but can have the option on any shake!
I have to admit that when I smelled this powder it was pretty hard to get past. But, the taste doesn’t mirror the smell at all! It tastes honestly like unsweet tea. That’s what I thought of when I tried it. I’ll definitely add it to my everyday routine of supplements & ideal products.
Add it to my morning fruit smoothly. Nom.
I mix it with the chocolate peanut butter shake and can't taste it at all!
I've been using IdealShakes for about a year now, and just tried the idealgreens superfood for the first time. I was a little worried about purchasing it after reading the reviews, but when it was delivered today, I had to try it. I mixed it with primarily water and a little diet cranberry juice, and I have to say as long as there's no bad side effects, I will continue to use, and enjoy the product. For those of you out there that say it's too green, or tastes terrible, what did you expect? Have you ever made your own green smoothies before, and if so, did you like them better? This appears to be a great way to have your greens when on the go. I'm rating this as a 4 for now, and with time, it may go to a 5.
