Quick to make and nice that you can make small, individual servings easily. The pancakes by themselves are very plain though, so I would use it as a base and add vanilla extract (or whatever flavorings you like), maybe cinnamon, sweetener, etc to the mix before cooking. Following the instructions the first time, it came out like biscuit dough, but adding more water helped. I think it helps to use a spoon to scoop the mix into the scoop it came with then level with a knife. Scooping straight from the container with the scoop it comes with makes the powder mix pack and then you get too much mix and causes thicker dough. Just a suggestion because otherwise the macros will be off, even if you do fix it with more water.
The flavor of this is not good. Texture is okay, but not great. Kodiak cakes brand is MUCH better. I figured this would rival that, but it wasn't even close. For the price, it's a terrible deal.
I made these pancakes for the first time today. I used half cup of water to two cups of mix. I topped with sugar free butter flavored pancake syrup, raspberries, blueberries, and sliced bananas. I was worried after reading some of the reviews but I found them to be delicious! I’m about to order another container just to have on hand.
Like other reviewers, I had to double the water they recommended to get it to pancake consistency. These are definitely more savory tasting (not sweet at all) and I would recommend marketing it as an english muffin alternative, rather than a pancake alternative.
These just weren’t what I was expecting, and they could have been so easily delicious! One of my two packages was burst open in shipping, so that was frustrating. I guess I was expecting these to have some of their own sweetness, so as not to have to add calories. I expected they were taking from customer recipe ideas and creating a pancake mix from exciting vanilla shake mix. These are super dense, super dry and flavorless (other than baking powder flavor). That being said, after cooking, I sprinkled them with lemon juice and powdered swerve. They’re ok, but I wish I would have only gotten 1. I wish they would have added sweetness and flavor so they turned out more like a McGriddle (containing flavor and sweetness of their own, not greasy and caloric).
These were not that bad. Very thick, need to add a little more water then it calls for. I added blueberries for sweetness. Here is the main reason why I scored it so low, I bought 2 containers and they were half filled. I was able to combine them into 1 container and still had room at the top.
I was expecting the pancakes to be as good as all of the other products I had purchased but that was not the case. The instructions say to combine 2 scoops mix with 1/4 cup water. I had to use more water to get a decent consistency. The pancakes were dense and had absolutely no taste. I had to struggle to get 2 bites down.
I wasn't a fan of these. The taste wasn't satisfying. I also compared the nutrition facts to those of regular pancakes and for calorie counters these have more calories and more fat. The main perk here is these are packed with protein. I purchased 2 tubs hoping I would love them but I'll probably just give the 2nd tub away. Also, you have to use a tad bit more water than the the recommended amount. I think I'll stick with the shakes for breakfast! I absolutely love those!!!!
These aren’t as sweet as a typical pancake mix, but that doesn’t go to say that these aren’t delicious. Very easy to make and with a little extra added water (about 1/8 of a cup extra) these have the consistency of a pancake. I like my pancakes a little bigger so I made two bigger ones instead of 4 smaller ones. Will buy again!
